Woman of the Year...2008?

Hillary Rodham Clinton may have a future on the Hill. Dan Rather said he could see her running for president on Sunday's "Larry King Live"; Conan O'Brien joked about the same thing on his show. The drumbeats are sounding on Websites such as the Hillary Clinton Forum and Hillary For President. But a far more likely scenario is a run for U. S. Senator. Former vice presidential candidate Geraldine Ferraro can see the Chicago native getting elected in Illinois in 2004. "It's a perfect race," she told Newsweek.com. "It's going to be a first term re-election. He [Republican Sen.-elect Peter Fitzgerald] got in there because Carol [Moseley-Braun] had problems... he should be a good candidate to run against." Of course, the First Lady would have to move back to Illinois--with or without her husband. "He's gotta figure out what he's gonna do," said Ferraro. "She's been following him around for the past for some twenty-odd years. It's his turn now."
Ferraro even has a White House scenario. "In January, 2007, [Hillary's] in the Senate and she forms an exploratory committee for the [2008] presidential election," Ferraro says. "She's my candidate. All she has to do is call me up. I'll say, 'Let me know what I can do'."
