Angry activists say party has lost focus
"Republicans of late have spent far too much time poring over the polling and focus group data, trying to discern the drift of public opinion," contended Gary Bauer, a leader of the party's social conservative wing who is expected to announce his presidential candidacy next week.
"People will not respect such a party," Bauer said. "The people want an alternative to Bill Clinton, not an imitation of him." Joining in the assault was yet another presidential prospect, former Tennessee Gov. Lamar Alexander. As a White House candidate in 1996, Alexander was viewed with suspicion by many conservatives as sort of a closet moderate. But at Thursday's conference, he accused Texas Gov. George W. Bush--the early front-runner for the 2000 GOP presidential nomination--of using "weasel words" by labeling himself "a 'compassionate conservative.' " "Is Mr. Bush trying to suggest . . . that conservatism . . . is by his definition without compassion?" Alexander asked. MORE . . .
Pushing back on GOP coup d’etat
MSNBC NEWS -
by Eric Alterman
Dec. 19 — The crisis is finally upon us. President Clinton has been impeached. The Republicans have their victory. The term “high crimes and misdemeanors” has been degraded to include lying about sex. The most serious sanction in our constitutional system has been reduced to a weapon of partisan warfare.
"If the Republicans want to commit political suicide by pursuing the path that has destroyed their two most recent leaders, well then, that’s their right. But they cannot be allowed to drag down the republic with them."
The impeachment vote is being driven by the ascendant radical wing of the party that, under Tom DeLay’s guidance, controls its fund-raising. Those who dare to buck DeLay and his crusade risk inspiring a well-funded conservative challenger without any help from the national party. Those who vote his way have two years to try to make the country forget, or to hide behind the excuse that the impeachment vote was not designed to remove the president, but only to signal the seriousness of his crimes and let the Senate decide the matter.
."Now is the time for all good men and women to come to the aid of their Constitution." MSNBC NEWS ...MORE....

Winning feels sooooo good. But, folks, don't slack up. There's lots of cleaning up to do. We just hit the beaches in the Senate and it's over.....But keep fighting until we get every member of the anti-constitutional forces out of office. NBC SAID TO BE HOLDING INTERVIEW WITH 'JANE DOE'
I realize that this is a stretch but just for the record, is Rape an
Impeachable Offence? I just want the Editors on record which ever way this
goes. I suspect it will be another Red Herring but just in case, if the
President really has Raped a woman, is that enough to throw him out?
Does "Date Rape" count?

NBC NEWS hotshot Lisa Myers has reportedly conducted an in-depth interview with "Jane Doe
#5", according to media sources in an around the network.
The interview with Juanita Broaddrick of Arkansas is said to have gone down late last week
and is now being held tight by NBC NEWS.
It is not known if and when the network plans on airing the interview, or what exactly it
was that Broaddrick told Myers, but media circles in Washington have been buzzing with word
of the development for days.
"I'm looking forward to the interview," Rep. Lindsey Graham, a House floor manager in the
Senate impeachment trial," told a reporter over the weekend.
Lisa Myers, out of character, did not return repeated calls seeking comment. A well-placed
source inside of NBC's Washington bureau said Myers "remained out of town." NBC NEWS
president Andy Lack could not be reached.
Media excitement grew after a well-armed NBC crew was spotted outside of Broaddrick's home
late last week.
"It was obvious that something was going down," reports one eyewitness. "The were cameras
and a sound crew."
A second news network, reacting to reports that NBC was conducting the interview, later
captured Broaddrick arriving and leaving a Tennis Club.
"They chased her car, at times going at high speeds... her husband went wild," says one
network insider.
Last February, the DRUDGE REPORT alerted readers who were following the Paula Jones sex case
that there was great interest swirling around a woman named "Juanita." She was code named
"Jane Doe #5."
A month later, NBC's Myers explored the "Juanita" story in a nightly news shocker: A woman
claims she was sexually assaulted by Bill Clinton back in the 1970s!
The White House called that allegation "outrageous."
The following is a flashback to the first Myers report on "Juanita" that aired on NBC
NIGHTLY NEWS on Saturday, March 28, 1998:
"The explosive new allegation tonight is that President Clinton sexually assaulted a woman
20 years ago in Arkansas. It involves an alleged encounter at this Little Rock hotel in the
late 1970s, between then Attorney General Bill Clinton and campaign worker, Juanita
Broaddrick. In court documents today, Jones' lawyers claim Clinton quote 'forcibly raped and
sexually assaulted' Broaddrick, then quote "bribed and intimidated her" to remain silent.
Sources say that Broaddrick, now 54, recently denied under oath that such an assault
occurred. But Jones' lawyers claim she had told their investigator she had suffered a quote
'horrible thing' at the hand of Clinton, and did not want to relive it. And NBC NEWS has
talked to four people from Arkansas who say Broaddrick told them of such an assault years
ago.
Today's charge is largely based on a letter from this man, Philip Yoakum, a friend and
business associate of the alleged victim. In a letter to Broaddrick, written in 1992,
Yoakum, a Republican writes, I was particularly distraught when you told me of your brutal
rape by Bill Clinton, how he bit your lip until you gave into his forcing sex upon you.' In
an interview with NBC NEWS, Yoakum said Broaddrick told him that Clinton invited himself to
her hotel room, allegedly to discuss her nursing home business.
Unidentified Reporter: She told you in 1981 that Bill Clinton assaulted her?
Mr. PHILLIP YOAKUM (Arkansas Businessman): Mm-hm. Yes, 1981 is when she told me.
Reporter: Did you believe her at the time?
Mr. YOAKUM: I believed her.
MYERS: Yoakum admits he is no fan of the president and that he unsuccessfully tried to get
Broaddrick to tell her story when Clinton first ran for president.
Mr. YOAKUM: And she says, Who would believe me, little old Juanita from Van Buren?'
MYERS: There was another woman at that hotel that day, a nurse and friend of Broaddrick who
says she iced her friend's face after the assault. In a telephone interview with NBC NEWS,
this woman, who admits she dislikes Clinton, said Broaddrick was distraught, her lips were
swollen at least double in size. She told me they had intercourse against her will.' Again a
White House spokesman dismissed the charge as outrageous, false, and the work of the
president's long-time political opponents.' The White House also noted that Broaddrick
herself already denied the allegation under oath.

Never before has an American woman been in such a vital position power and influence and accumulated such vast political experience and knowledge. Never before has an American played such a vital role in shaping American Presidential programs and policies. Never before has an America woman exhibited such dignity and composure under such unwarranted public duress and pressure. The CCC group and their sympathisers have billions of dollars raised plus they own TV stations and newpapers and use Rush Limbaugh, the ex tub of lard to spew hate toward President Clinton and now they arent going quitely away from this impeachment bit they want to character assinate the President, by repeating it over and over again to justify their unamrican behavoir just like Hitler did in the 20's and the 30's to gain favor with the voters to get elected to power . It does sound far fetched but once you start down the road like the CCC has you begin to wonder who the heck the CCC is. and why are so many elected officials mostly Southrern Republicans and some Northerners associated with them. It is power naked raw power. Behind them is organized religion a no no by our founders. and for good reason look at the early or late history of Europe up till 1945. So they the CCC and the Republicans funded by them are going to go on and try to dirty the President more to justify thereselves for this lousy witch hunt by bigoted bastards. Law and order, We should burn a Hitler Cross on Trenton Lott who has written a column in the CCC sublte and polite racist newsletter for 10 years. Also lynch Strom Thurmond who ran for President of the Dixiecrats and probably knoww who in 1948. killed JFK Martin Luther King and Robert Kennedy. Didnt snack much. Walked every day and accepted his fate and the fact that he had to work very hard to provide for his family. I respected him because he had the hard work ethic. He never cheated anyone, never. His word was gold. He was frightning if you bad but his mood changed 10 minutes after he gave you that all fearful look if if you messed up. He encouraged us to learn to work hard and to enjoy each day as if it were your last. How? Well to be up early and try to do most everything in the morning. Cause, he would say, "The morning is like a thief, it moves so quickly". "You won't be successful", he would say, "if you don't start early in the morning".

"What should have done ot the President is have his wife wholloped the Presidesnts

Assuming I understand you I must agree, Hillary should
have opened up an economy sized can of "WhoopAss" and poured it all over
Bill for what he did to her and especially for what he did to their daughter.
However that is not the point of the current trial in the Senate. He is being
tried for lying, not to his family, but under oath to a Federal Grand Jury.
He is being tried for attempting to obstruct justice, something we conservatives
still care about. I can only assume that you would allow a powerful man with
your political views slide on such trivialities. I suspect, however, that you
would crucify any Republican that dared break the law. Hypocrites indeed!
But, really now has the
President hurt any one or hated any one like some of that bunch of Republicans
and the CCC. No, he hasnt done that
Ask Paula Jones if he hurt her by attempting to rob her of her right to a fair
trial. Ask Betty Currie if he hurt her by thrusting her into this situation
rather than asking her to lie for him. Ask Monica Lewinsky if he hurt her by allowing himself
to commit adultery with her when he damn well knew they could get caught.
Ask Hillary and Chelsea if he hurt them by betraying their trust. There is
not room on this forum to list all the people that Bill Clinton has hurt only
because he lacks the spine to be a man!
Has he tried to hurt anyone, so why have the
super smug republicans always after the President since 1992.
Simply because they knew then what we are finding out now: Bill Clinton
is a cad and is unfit to conduct the business of the United States of America.
And what punishment
should the Republicans pay in their dirty tricks they have played on us --
Maybe we should have President Clinton stay in office eight more years.
I will assume that you know this would not be constitutional. It would also
be unwise. Why punish the entire country just to get back at the Republicans?
After all he has done a fine job.
I challenge you to give proof of one single thing the president has done
to help this nation. One! Ever since the 1994 elections he has been
pushing Republican issues while calling the Republicans "extremists".
Every single worthwhile piece of legislation that has been enacted
in the last four years is the result of the Republican Congress.
The only Big Idea the Clinton’s ever tried to put into action was
the Socialist Healthcare Scam that even a Democratic Congress would
have no part of!
Like I always say, first we pick the president and then we
pick on him.
Comes with the territory, dude.
But people like Zippy and Minglewood and Vernon and other people
come on here and say very nasty(big shots they are, Are they? and so articulate)
things against a duly elected president.
I resent that LIE and challenge you to give evidence of one "nasty"
thing I have posted. You have no right to insult me just because my opinion
differs from yours. If you must insult me, do so for factual or logical errors,
otherwise shut the *^%&^ up about me or, God Forbid, offer some evidence
in support of your idiotic, bigoted, Hitler fixated ranting.
Excuse me, look in your own skeletons in
your past( or closet). Everyone makes mistakes, but the lord forgives us.

settle for THE LAW.
So be nice and be compassionate for we only come this once."

CLINTON'S LAWYER IS A LIAR, TOO
By DICK MORRIS
EVEN as the impeachment trial grinds to a close and the president prepares to show his remorse by dancing on its grave, the White House has introduced us to yet another liar in this long, tawdry process - Charles Ruff, President Clinton's lawyer. Throughout the proceedings, defense lawyers Ruff and Cheryl Mills have shown about the same regard for the truth as their famous client.
Charles Ruff was originally slated to be Clinton's attorney general - until it was revealed that, for years, he had not paid the federal nanny tax for his household help. Clinton quickly dumped him, but years later brought him in as counsel to the president, a position which did not require Senate confirmation and conveniently avoided any airing of his deliberate and embarrassing tax evasion.
Cheryl Mills was the subject of a congressional referral to the Justice Department which accused her of perjury and obstruction of justice in congressional proceedings. Sound familiar? She can truly feel Clinton's pain; she's been there, done that.
Some of Ruff's lies are laughs - like his earnest contentions that the DNA test had nothing to do with the president's belated decision to come clean about his relationship with Monica Lewinsky. Particularly humorous was his straight-faced statement that Clinton paid $850,000 to Paula Jones not because he was guilty but because he didn't have the time to deal with a case that had already been dismissed.
In Ruff's shamelessly duplicitous argument before Congress, he deliberately lied about Betty Currie's status in the Paula Jones case. House Manager Asa Hutchison skillfully exposed that lie. Ruff also claimed that he did not know whether the president had actually ever had any conversations with me about the poll which I conducted for him about the Monica Lewinsky matter on Jan. 21, 1998.
Unfortunately for Ruff, the president's own sworn written testimony - prepared by the same Charles Ruff - admits the conversations and exposes that lie. But like his client, Ruff remembers only what is convenient.
During Ruff's presentation, he claimed that the president had no illicit intentions in his ''coaching'' of Betty Currie because, as he put it, ''Betty Currie was never an actual or prospective witness ... In the entire history of the Jones case, Ms. Currie's name had not appeared on any witness list; nor was there any reason to suspect that she would play any role in the Jones case ... In the days following the deposition, the Jones lawyers never listed her, never added her to any witness list.''
Therefore, according to Ruff, the president would have had no motivation to coach Betty because she was of no interest to the Jones lawyers. He was simply refreshing his recollections. (Leave aside for the moment that he was apparently refreshing his recollection by making statements to Betty that he knew - and she knew - were untrue.)
Asa Hutchison caught Ruff's blatant lie and powerfully proved it to the Senate. He held up a copy of the subpoena that was actually issued for Betty Currie only a few days after the president's fateful deposition.
Ruff knew all about that subpoena, but he lied about it anyway.
Then, Hutchison held up the actual witness list, showing Betty Currie's name, which the Jones lawyers had submitted to the Court and to the president's lawyers on Jan. 23, 1998.
Ruff knew all about that witness list, but he deliberately lied about that, too.
When Ruff was caught, he apologized to the Senate for his ''misleading statement.'' In WhiteHousespeak, that means ''I lied to you and got caught.''
Ruff's co-counsel Cheryl Mills claimed that Betty Currie's testimony about retrieving the president's gifts to Lewinsky was consistent. That depends on what the word ''consistent'' means. Hutchison demonstrated that Betty Currie was actually inconsistent.
Only four weeks after she had actually retrieved the gifts from Monica on Dec. 28, 1997, Currie told the FBI that she had picked them up about three months earlier, distancing that event from the Jones subpoena for those gifts in December. Later, she moved it back even further, claiming that it was in the fall of 1997. Finally, Currie admitted that it was sometime in December, 1997. In this White House, that is what passes for consistency.
When Ruff was asked about the poll that I conducted for the president, and our telephone call discussing it, he claimed that he had ''no idea whether the conversation ever occurred or not.'' Once again, Ruff lied. When the president responded to the eighty-one questions from the House Managers, he admitted that the poll was taken and that he discussed it with me in telephone calls.
Not only did Ruff know all about the president's sworn answers, he was the one who prepared them and certified that they were true and accurate. Ruff also supervised the provision of White House documents to Kenneth Starr - including records of telephone calls from the president to me during the relevant time period. Ruff knew about that, too, but he lied, anyway.
If his own client admitted, under oath, that the conversation between the president and me did, indeed, take place and that I did, indeed, conduct a poll, why would Ruff try to suggest otherwise? While one cannot blame Ruff for being skeptical of the veracity of his own client's assertions, we can assume that any admission adverse to the president's interests would likely be true.
Ruff tried to wish away the poll because he wanted to avoid calling attention to the undeniable fact that the president himself was masterminding and coordinating the White House cover-up of the Lewinsky matter.
Most of all, Ruff knew about that.

Republicans force through their trial road map
In a party-line 54-44 vote, Republicans Thursday pushed through their proposal for proceeding with the deposition phase of the impeachment trial of President Bill Clinton. Under the plan, witnesses will be deposed starting Monday and February 12 has been set as the trial's target end date
The individual depositions of Monica Lewinsky, White House aide Sidney Blumenthal and lobbyist and presidential friend Vernon Jordan will begin Monday and extend through Wednesday. Lewinsky is expected to testify first but the order of all three witnesses has not been finalized. MORE...

Democrat Disgrace
London Daily Telegraph
THE Republicans could pay a high price for pressing on with the trial of
President Clinton in defiance of public opinion, but the Democrats may pay a
price themselves, eventually, for voting to truncate the impeachment process
for motives of short-term advantage. All but one of the 45 Senate Democrats
moved to end the trial without witness testimony, and without attempting to
clarify points of fact. Several did so after admitting that the House managers
had presented a compelling - if not decisive - case of perjury and obstruction
of justice against the President. Mr Clinton's defence lawyers were
subsequently able to punch a few holes in the prosecution line, but only by
trying to hoodwink the Senate, knowing that this hybrid, quasi-judicial trial
precluded a rebuttal phase. They stated, for instance, that Mr Clinton's
secretary, Betty Currie, was never a witness, and therefore could not have
been a target of "witness tampering", even though they knew full well that she
received a subpoena in the Paula Jones lawsuit.
Robert Byrd, the senior Democratic senator, acknowledged that Mr Clinton may
indeed be guilty, but justified his sponsorship of the dismissal motion by
arguing that his party was never going to provide enough votes for conviction,
so why bother to continue? This was an admission that his colleagues were
unwilling to pollute their minds with an examination of the facts. To his
credit, Senator Russell Feingold of Wisconsin, a former Rhodes scholar and a
liberal idealist, refused to participate in this pantomime, saying that it
would be "improper to short-ciruit" the constitutional process.
The Democrats have committed themselves to an indefensible position, but not
irrevocably. It is a mistake to conclude that the impeachment trial is already
over. The pro-Clinton media in the United States, invariably echoed by our own
BBC, insist that the next stage of the trial, involving witness depositions,
is now an empty exercise, given that the Democrats have registered their
intention to acquit. But anything that prolongs the process and draws public
attention to the specific facts of the case is a potential threat to the White
House. The trial procedure is, of course, heavily stacked in favour of the
White House. The prosecution managers have had to abandon their plan to call
15 witnesses, restricting themselves instead to "a pitiful three" - Monica
Lewinsky, Vernon Jordan (accused of trying to get her a lucrative job to
ensure silence) and White House aide Sidney Blumenthal - as part of a
compromise to keep skittish Republican senators on board. (More than 40
witnesses were called in the last impeachment trial, that of President Andrew
Johnson in 1868.)
The testimony will be limited to three hours of video-taped questioning by
each side: thin gruel, but even this could conceivably be enough to alter
the momentum of the trial. All it takes to proceed to the next stage of
spontaneous live testimony, on television, is a simple majority vote by the
Republicans, and that in turn could lead to further witnesses being called,
and further details coming into focus. For the White House, the trial remains
dangerously volatile. While acquittal is the most likely outcome, a number of
Democrats could yet be persuaded by fresh testimony and shifting opinion to
think again.

Jeepers, Editor – the only way you could prove that Barr or Lott was lying is to READ THEIR MIND. There is no other way to prove what they were thinking - unlike Clinton there is no collaborating testimony or evidence – just some fool explaining to us what other people were thinking. Bottom line: Clinton committed perjury by lying under oath on two occasions – Barr or Lott have NEVER been question under oath on this issue. This baseless innuendo shrivels up and dies when exposed to the light of truth. You have earned my respect with your posting the link to the DeLay article in the New Republic. It shows a great deal of integrity and guts! We, the LibDems, really don't want to continut the "outing" of politicians in this manner, because we understand that people are people and we all act in our own best self interest at times.
All we want is for the House Managers of the Impeachment Trial to stop be so sanctimonious and to stop trying to make the American people conform to their ideas of morality. You keep arguing that it is a legal case about perjury and obstruction of justice, but our legal system routinely overlooks private transgressions in private, sexual matters.
If the Republicans had not been "after" Clinton for so many years, and they just happened to discover Monica in the normal course of events, I think you would see a different reaction from the voters in the US. But it is so obvious that there has been a long-standing campaign to "get" Clinton on ANYTHING they could that we are all fed up with the whole thing, especially the hypocritical behavior of the key Republicans.
But, bottom line is, Zippy, you are an honorable man.

Jeepers, you change the subject with BLINDING speed. You stated earlier in the forum “Tom DeLay Guilty of Perjury?” That is pure unadulterated innuendo. DeLay has not be indicted on charges of perjury – let alone “guilty of perjury”. The point is simple – I relay an unconfirmed story and you call me a liar and make a VERY big deal out of it. You relay an unconfirmed story and it is OK – no sweat. Can you say “double standard” – I knew that you could. (Notice I am not defending Delay – if he gets indicted for perjury and convicted, throw him out of office – I am pointing out the extremely inconsistent editorial policy of this forum). What amazes me is that – based on the press stories about Clinton, you NEVER said that Clinton was not very an honorable character or one heck of a hypocrite yet when you read one single story about Delay you assume it is all correct. There are hundred of stories about Clinton – yet you say they are empty accusations or innuendo until proven in court but you are saying Delay is guilty until proven innocent. Editor, even you most seem the glaring inconsistency in you positions?

Not to mention I know Barr is on record denouncing the CCC separatist stance. Editor- you know that but you couldn’t resist a stab of innuendo at the Republicans. This dog won’t hunt. This is empty innuendo crap – anything to defend your man. Guess what – if somehow they can ACTUALLY prove Lott or Barr is or was lying than they should be thrown out of office – just like Clinton (I am consistent – are you?). Do you actually think the actions of Lott or Barr has ANY bearing on the actions of Clinton? That is silly! If they all commit perjury than throw them all (Clinton, Lott, and Barr) out of office. You keep arguing that it is a legal case about perjury and obstruction of justice, but our legal system routinely overlooks private transgressions in private, sexual matters.
When? Where? Give names and dates. Hell, Clarence Thomas was supposed to have made a comment about a pubic hair on a coke can and mentioned reference to a character in a porno movie and that was enough for the LibDems to say the man was an enemy of the women and not fit of office (he did lie or obstruct justice). Do you have a short selective memory Witch Hazel?
Guess what Democrats – Guess what is the fastest moving statistic in the polls? That’s right – the Democrat Party disapproval rating (dropping like a stone). Keep up the stone wall against justice and the double standard and see where is gets you. A "vast right wing conspiracy"....Hmmmmm...seems the opposite is true.......Why Tom Brokaw is a BIG Supporter of The Far left "People for the American Way"....How do I know?....His name is very prominent in their Annual Report, and he is just one of too many to mention.
Isn't it strange...Brokaw threatened to resign if NBC airs Lisa Myers interview with Jane Doe#5...Juanita Broaddrick.
Anita Hill was front and center immediately...wasn't she!
There is also a new Zogby Poll out stating that 53% of women in this country take the Pro-Life position On Abortion...Have you seen it on the main stream "News"?....Probably not.....
Have no fear though...If the nation can survive this sickness for a few more years, The "Light of Truth" will shine brightly through the rapidly expanding internet.
Truth is powerful and the world wide web is like candle piercing the darkness. The DRUDGE REPORT is a prime example of what is to come. I am also happy to learn that "Brokaw threatened to resign if NBC airs Lisa Myers interview with Jane Doe#5...Juanita Broaddrick." We do not want to hear one thing more about Clinton's sex life. Six years is enough. Besides, Juanita has given contradictory evidence under oath and appears to be an unstable person.
Then you tell us, Robert, that the "Zogby Poll states that 53% of women in this country take the Pro-Life position On Abortion..." Robert, just go out into the street and ask the first 100 women you see this question. Then you will know the truth for yourself. Women do not want the Big Government owning their wombs. We want less government not more. How much more invasive can a government get if it owns a woman's womb and dictates what she can and cannot do with it. We want big government out of our bedrooms, credit cards, books we read, our religions, and definitely, but definitely out of our wombs. I do NOT believe the Zogby Poll.
However, I agree with you that the "Light of Truth" will shine brightly through the rapidly expanding internet. It has already shone brightly through the Internet. It is shining brightly on this forum today. The "Light of Truth" has taken away the leadership role from the Republican Congress and has bequeathed it upon the Liberals. Get used to it Robert, the Liberals shall lead the way into the next millenium. We are the "chosen people" not because of what we did, but because of what the GOP did NOT do. The GOP, instead of leading this nation, frittered away its opportunity by obsessing itself in a six-year witch-hunt to topple Clinton.
"Vengeance is mine saith the Lord," but the GOP took it upon themselves to deliver vengeance like never before in history. Obsession with ANYTHING, good or bad is wrong, but obsession with toppling our twice-elected president against the will of the people is insanity.

Can't you see the fallacious basis for your argument - just because they did not make a secret of it does not mean the Barr understood every minute detail of their stances. The only way you can prove the slanderous statement is the READ BARRS MIND. Go to the CCC web page - you will find that they are not a raving hate-group and that you have to dig really deep to undercover their somewhat unseemly views. BTW - they are NOT anti-black, they are pro white and anti northern liberal (whatever that is). I have heard lots of unsupportable slander about the CCC - I do not support their views but much of what is said about them on this forum is lies. The CCC is a perfectly legal tiny organization that - as far as I know - has never been accused of doing anything wrong. There is nothing wrong with speaking before a group of Americans. The most important point is what did Barr and Lott speak about? - They spoke of the Conservative political agenda, nothing about the CCC agenda. There you have it - this bogus ad homien attack on Barr and Lott is more baseless liberal guano-spin.
. Would Trent Lott be prepared to state, under oath, that he was never involved with the CCC and did not know what they stood for?
You liberal make me ill sometimes - you so against the constitution. In this country we have the right to associate with whomever we like. 01/29/99 06:09 UTC -- Independent counsel Kenneth Starr has concluded that he has the constitutional authority to seek a grand jury indictment of President Clinton before he leaves the White House, says a new report set for publication on Sunday.
"Starr and his prosecutors have actively considered whether to ask a grand jury here to indict Clinton," the NEW YORK TIMES is planning to report in a Page One, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
TIMES investigator Don Van Natta Jr. pushes details: "Starr and his prosecutors have had no communications with the House managers or the White House about the possibility of including the president's future criminal jeopardy in negotiations over a censure of the president."
Van Natta quotes "associates" of Starr throughout his story.
These associates emphasized that Starr had not decided whether, or when, but "neither the outcome of the Senate trial nor the public's wishes expressed in opinion polls would affect his decision.

It is contrary to Jesus Christ and His teachings for His followers to hate anyone, therefore,
they cannot be Christian (which means Christ in you). Understand? One professing to be something does not
make them so. The bible is clear on this matter in that Jesus Himself tells what
will happen to those professing to be His followers and doing evil instead. It is
called blasphemy of the Holy Spirit and it is unpardonable. To credit Christ with
evil deeds is automatic condemnation. WOE to them who dies before repenting of
such evil. He speaks to Christian or religious leaders who hold up their own

today's "christian" leaders will fall into this category as their teachings and

The death toll for your policies and belief system are credited as such:
35,000,000 babies
Euthanasia is just beginning its slaughter
Inner city gang violence and killing of each other - economic slavery by democrats
Sexual "freedom" and immorality leading to the epidemic of STD's and AIDS!
What is that number?
Don't spew any more vile hatred about Republicans and put them in line
with Jesus. Christians happen to be part of the Republican Party AT PRESENT because
they do not openly advocate the slaughter of babies with the passion and demonic
human sacrifice like demokrats. As Henry Hyde said last week and I paraphrase, "there are some
things worth risking my office for. Opposing abortion, defense of the country and
defense of the rule of law." Alas he will be remembered as a true statesman while

It often strikes a man to enquire what is the chief good in life; to one the thought
comes that it is a happy marriage, to another great wealth, and as each seizes on his idea, for
that he more or less works for the rest of his existence. To myself thinking over
the same question the wish came to render myself useful to my country. I then asked myself how could I
and after reviewing the various methods I have felt that at the present day
we are actually limiting our children and perhaps bringing into the world half the
human beings we might owing to the lack of country for them to inhabit that if we had
retained America there would at the present moment be millions more of English
living. I contend that we are the finest race in the world and that the more
of the world we inhabit the better it is for the human race. Just fancy those
parts that are at present inhabited by the most dispicable specimen of human
beings (what people is he referring to?) what all alteration there would be if they were brought under Anglo-Saxon
influence, look again at the extra employment a new country added to our dominions
gives. I contend that every acre added to our territory means in the future birth
to some more of the English race who otherwise would not be brought into existence.
Added to this the absorption of the greater portion of the world under our rule
simply means the end of all wars, at this moment had we not lost America I believe
we could have stopped the present Russo-Turkish war by merely refusing money
and supplies. Having these ideas what scheme could we think of to forward this
object? (Rhodes Scholars in America perhaps?)
The document continues, though the opening words are telling of the whole and I would
be glad to post the rest for those that want to read on. The information is
damning and cannot be denied to those who are truthful. You are being warned
