Message: Republicans falter as Americans grow weary of Lewinsky scandal
Democrats rally in poll swing
DEMOCRATS are gaining over Republicans among the likely voters in next Tuesday's congressional elections, according to a poll yesterday. The results were announced as both parties unleashed a blitz of duelling television commercials over President Clinton's sex scandal.
The poll, by the Wall Street Journal and NBC News, found that 46 per cent of those most likely to vote plan to support Democratic candidates for the House of Representatives while 43 per cent back Republicans. That reverses a four-point lead for Republicans a month ago.

WASHINGTON, Oct. 30 — Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr, whose tactics have been questioned throughout his investigation of President Clinton, is being investigated for 24 instances of alleged grand jury leaks, according to court documents. Federal Judge Norma Holloway Johnson ordered the investigation in September but did not make public the grounds for the probe until Friday.

TROOPER BOMBSHELL: HILLARY WENT OUTSIDE OF MARRIAGE FOR SEX
Former Little Rock state trooper L.D. BROWN, who guarded then Gov. Bill Clinton for 7 years, reveals in his first nationally televised interview that First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton strayed from her marriage as well. Brown told FOX NEWS CHANNEL's DRUDGE on Saturday evening that Hillary Clinton confided to him that she felt the need to get certain things outside of her marriage. Brown detailed for the first time conversations he had with Mrs. Clinton involving the nature of her relationship with the late Vince Foster. Brown said Hillary Clinton's relationship with Foster was of a sexual nature. The interview is set to air at 9:00 PM ET/6:00 PM PT Saturday and Sunday on the FOX NEWS CHANNEL's DRUDGE... MORE... Brown felt the need to go public, he told this reporter, because Independent Counsel Ken Starr and Special prosecutor Robert Fiske failed to investigate the late Foster's intimate relationship with the First Lady and the role it may have played in his death. "The truth has to be told now," Brown declared. "There has been too much deception." Brown also charged that Bill Clinton's private lawyer David Kendall personally intervened to block an explosive interview that Brown gave to ABC NEWS.
I actually now have more respect for Hillary - maybe she is not such a doormat.

Message: Hillary's Pubic hair found in Vince Foster's Gun!
PRIVACY - What happened to privacy, that most precious of all American liberties? Is it in our Karma that our descendants will all be born with high-tech monitors up their asses so that Big Brother GOP can contain, engineer and control their sexuality? We are aroused by Hillary's love affair with Vince, because we need to feed our prurient natures. Delicious! We MUST have it, especially with the possibility of a murder plot thrown in!
"The Clinton scandal has hit high culture. Distinguished writers regard it not as a tale of tawdry sex and perjury, but of American freedom menaced by ayatollhas, Torquemadas, McCarthyites and Salem witch hunters," says Morton Kondrake.
"The menace is Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr, who is pictured as the leading agent in a right-wing Porno-Puritan conspiracy to remove that most cherished of liberties - our Right to Privacy."
WE HAVE BEEN DEFEATED. Most people I talk to about this have conceded that we are defeated. The right-wing won! We will NEVER have privacy again. We will have populations of Kenn Starrs all over this country gathering your pubic hair to track your sexual predatory lifestyle. They have the best high-tech equipment in the world and you will never get away from them. Even if you just think about sex outside of the parameters they have decreed you will be persecuted, ridiculed, sued and slandered on the daily news day after day. If the right-wing have their way you will get, not just two more years of it, you will have lost your privacy, and your childrens privacy, and your children's, children's childrens too, forever. Yes, forever is a long time to read all about Hillary's pubic hair found in Vince Foster's Gun.
Hillary will play the part to perfection. I think you'll enjoy the show better than Bill's performance.
The majority of the people in this country want their Rights to Privacy strengthened, not violated as we have been witnessing continually this past year. But what the heck, as long as they just violate Hillary and Bill's privacy, and Monica's as well as other Democrats, why should we care. What a great Political Soap Opera this is going to make? Tighten your seat-belts we are on our way to....

Thousands of American patriots rallied on the mall Saturday in the Rally for Justice that calumniated in thousands chanting “IMPEACH”. The liberal media/propaganda wing of the Democrat party – Party of Hate (POH) - is disparately trying to cover-up and hide the event in one of the worst Orwellian actions in resent history. The grass-roots movement for justice is picking up steam despite the Democrat propaganda machine - this is bad news for the POH.
Last week – 400 has-been liberal historians made an hysterical rambling statement that it would hurt our system of government if we held the president accountable for perpetrating multiple felonies. The 400 liberals tried disparately to outline how the president was above the law giving him power more closely aligned with kings than presidents of a Republican. The academic world is shacking its head – the 400 liberals ranted about sex but completely overlook the fact that the president is not being impeached for sex. The group of sexually fixated liberals is headed by Arthur M. Schlesinger Jr. In one of the most obvious and cynical quid pro quo’s ever – Bill “weasel boy” Clinton gave Arthur M. Schlesinger Jr. a lifetime achievement award less the one week after Schlesinger released the incoherent statement from the 400 liberals stating that the president is above the laws. There seems to be a grass roots ground-swell building against the Democrat party (POH) propaganda machine – this is bad news for the POH this close to the election.

Message: Could you please tone down the insulting overtones in your messages? We like to keep messages that are interesting, or have a little light-hearted humor, tongue-in-cheek fun, intelligent opposition, announcements, news articles, images, pictures, etc. in this forum. Can't you just state your opinion intelligently without the insulting overtones? We are getting sick of you insulting us in almost every sentence. Be respectful or you're outta here! So if you insist on calling us the "party of hate" and other derogatory terms we will delete your messages. Post them in the Conservative Forum No. 31 but not here.
When you first came in here you were amusing and seemed as though you were serious about decency and respect, but now you are just pissing on us and if you keep that up your messages will be erased.
I guess the right-wing are getting very upset and that is why you have changed. As you can see on earlier forums the right-wing thought they had it over the Dems with the ML scandal. They were so sure and self-righteous, but now, as they see their get-Clinton-by-any-means did not work, and the backlash has blown up in their faces, they are getting nasty.
As we said before, we are not your spitoon. We love opposition, but not if you spit it at us. Why are you having such a difficult time arguing your case without embellishing and exaggerating with insulting overtones? Maybe you will please some of the right-wingers reading your messages, but you lose your credibility with those who you most wish to influence or challenge.

Primarily a Democrat, I once registered as a Republican, and in an earlier time as an Independent. I identify strongly with liberal Libertarians. I voted for Reagan, twice.
This time around I find myself strongly left-wing to counter the strong right-wing pull. I do not want their brand of Christianity rammed down my throat. Message: Instead of "School Prayer" which instantly gets my left-wing hackles up, I would consider an arrangement whereby schools set aside a specific number of minutes each day for a "Peace Pause" During that time students silently observe a time period of total peace within themselves. Never a word is uttered; never a movement made to attempt proselytization of their religion through body language, as that would undermine somebody's "peace" as they "pause".
Everyone would have a right to their own peaceful thoughts during the "Peace Pause," and all peaceful thoughts are valid and respected. Thoughts can be volunteered but not requested or coerced.
This is a Liberal fantasy, of course. It could never happen. Opening the door for a "Peace Pause" will only give religious zealots an opportunity to subvert it to enforce their brand of religion. Too risky. Would not advise it. Just a passing thought.

You sound utterly paranoid. Please identify specific instances of Christianity
being rammed into any bodily orifice. Please identify any instance of a
Conservative attempting to stop you from worshiping as you please. You might
make note that Liberals were responsible for taking away the right of
school children to worship as they please. (The standard Liberal responce is
that they only wanted to stop the schools themselves from promoting a specific

religion from the classroom. Take a look at our school children now. Another

Message: Zippy, are you saying that all we have to do the change the problems in our schools is to return school prayer? What it seems you are telling us is that ONLY if you gather people in a group to pray together can you communicate with God?
I feel sorry for you if you think that because you are missing out on more than you can ever imagine. If you have a relationship with God you can communicate ALL THE TIME. You don't need to get your friends to support you in this effort. You don't need to enact legislation to force others to pretend that they are praying with you because they will be punished if they don't. That's not what God wants. You can pray to God ALL DAY in school without anyone ever knowing that you are connected.
So it's not lack of school prayer that is causing the problem, it is our inability to connect to God.

No Conservative EVER proposed a law that forced ANYONE to pray to ANY GOD

"Anti-abortion is ramming religion"
Murder is illegal. Is that "ramming religion"? We just differ on where life begins.
I think at least as good a case can be made for conception as birth.
"Anti-Gay is ramming religion"
Please show me EVEN ONE Conservative backing an anti-gay law. (Marriage has ALWAYS
been a religious issue and has ALWAYS been between men and women. Don't even
bother going there...)
"Entrapment to expose consensual sex between adults behind closed doors is ramming religion"
No one was entrapped (unless yo are so paranoid that you believe Monica works
for the RNC!). And, by the way, Clinton did her IN THE OVAL OFFICE. A violation
of FEDERAL SEXUAL HARASSMENT LAW.
"Dictating with whom and what kind of sex adults can have behind closed doors is ramming religion"
Please show me EVEN ONE Conservative backing this kind of law.
"Insulting and persecuting people that worship differently from you is ramming religion"

"ramming religion"? Sounds more like a First Ammendment issue to me.

No Conservative I know is that simple minded (a few Liberals, yes, but...).
All I'm saying is that when this country was more religious we didn't need
metal detectors in our schools. Do you know ANY religion that endorses
adultery? Do you know ANY religion that endorses murdering babies? Do you
know ANY religion that endorses lying in court? If you do, should we
respect such religions?! Do you have a solution? Let's hear it? I'm not
a Christian. I don't go to any Church. But I do not FEAR Christians as you

least successful, most vulnerable portions of our society for political gain

worse than anything the Republicans have EVER done to them.

Can you imagine yourself as President? Would you think the job was the most important one in the whole world? Would you spend 100% of your time doing that job? If you're Bill Clinton you don't. If you're Bill Clinton, you have no problem trashing your wedding vows and your responsibility to your family. If you're Bill Clinton, you judge a person's qualifications for a government position by their performance in bed and possibly their ability to keep quiet about it. If you're Bill Clinton, you see no reason to obey the law and answer truthfully the questions put to you under oath because you might just be able to get away with it. I was just trying to illustrate how ridiculous is was to claim that
Conservatives want to establish a State Religion. We all know how bad that would
be (and so did the Founding Fathers). But it's equally bad to restrict the
expression of religious opinions. Frankly, I think that if a judge wants to
put up the Ten Commandments on the wall of his court he should be allowed to
and those that find it insulting should just get a grip. I think that if I want
to hire only Christians (or Muslims or Jews...) to work in my factory I should be
allowed that freedom. That's REAL freedom. This concept that we mustn't be allowed
to insult or disagree with others is idiotic. We Anti-Infanticide types find
it incredibly insulting that our government allows the murders of millions
of innocent children. WHY we feel that way is irrelevant, we just do. But those
of us who are not insane or criminals try to go through legal channels to change
it. Hear about the Ski Resort that got burned to the ground by Left Wing tree

conversation gets much more constructive if we leave out the idiots on both
sides...

What about a judge who sits under a pyramid and chants to his crystals. Would that bother you Zippy?
How about the Virgin Mary instead of the Ten Commandments? That would probably pass with some folks, but will it pass with you?
The Whirling Dervishers, Zippy, would you go for that in place of the Ten Commandments on the wall?
What about a huge picture of Hare Krisna instead of the ten commandments? Are you bothered yet, no...OK ... here's more:
Maybe "Religion is the Opium of the Masses" instead of the ten commandments? That will get you Zippy. I know we got you now!
Maybe a judge who threw a few bones and chicken blood on the floor and decided on your fate based on the outcome of the bones?
If this doesn't get you opposed to religious messages, Zippy, I'll come up with more. Eventually you will agree that we simply can't open that door.

The Justice Department, in a statement, said it received complaints in the past week that private citizens may go to polling sites in predominantly minority areas to question, photograph or videotape voters. It said the department sent out letters making clear that videotaping minority voters at or near the polls violates the 1965 Voting Rights Act.
``The Justice Department is committed to vigorously enforcing our nation's voting laws,'' said Attorney General Janet Reno. ``And we will not tolerate harassment of minority voters.''
Justice said it was sending 141 federal observers to five states to help ensure there will be no intimidation of minorities during Tuesday's national elections. Those include districts populated by Indians and Chinese Americans.
The videotaping issue focused on a plan by the Republican Party in two North Carolina counties to tape voters in some heavily Democratic precincts to prevent people from voting more than once.
The Democratic National Committee also said Republicans had ``resorted to reprehensible voter intimidation efforts'' in other states by making threats to challenge voters in primarily minority districts.
Clinton mentioned the alleged intimidation, including the hiring of extra police to watch some heavily black precincts, in Maryland, Michigan, Kentucky and Georgia as well as North Carolina, and urged Republicans to renounce such activities.
Candidates are allowed to station ballot watchers at polls, but the District of Columbia's representative to Congress, Eleanor Holmes Norton, said ``partisan vigilante'' tactics were unacceptable. Joined by civil rights group representatives at a news conference, she urged minority voters to ``march past the harassers and intimidators, and insist on exercising the power that has been granted to them by the law.''
In North Carolina, GOP officials in Mecklenburg and Cumberland counties said they planned to videotape people to prevent voting fraud. State GOP spokesman Richard Hudson said any poll-watching program targeted heavily Democratic voter registration precincts, and not any racial groups.
But in a letter sent last week to state elections officials, Deputy Assitant Attorney General Anita Hodgkiss warned of possible violations of the Voting Rights Act. ``We will not countenance any thinly veiled attempts to intimidate racial and ethnic minorities at the polls,'' she wrote.
A Justice Department official, speaking on grounds of anonymity, described the monitoring of voters as a phenomenon of the last 10 years, noting that it started with uniformed security guards being placed in mostly Hispanic precincts in Orange County, Calif., in 1988.
``All of these moves are called ballot security moves, moves by plain citizens to keep illegal voters from the polls,'' the official said, ``but none targeted illegal voters. They all targeted minority voters and specifically threatened them with some dire consequence if there are problems with voter records.''
This official said the department has contacted parties believed to be responsible for ballot security initiatives and reminded them that it is considered to be a form of harassment under the Voting Rights Act

Enough is Enough: A Call to Action
Leslea Haravon Collins & Steve M. Collins
October 27, 1998
>P>
We act because we are upset and outraged.
By way of background, we are independents, belonging to neither the Democratic nor the Republican parties. Rather than wishing to buttress any particular political group, we are interested in doing what is best for our country as a whole.
Steve has read the entire Starr report with care. Lea found it necessary to skip some sections. We have both read the White House rebuttal. Starr's report, voluminous as it is, added little to what was leaked earlier and thus did little to change our perceptions of what transpired in the Monica Lewinsky affair.
Our law professor colleagues tell us that most of Starr's eleven grounds for impeachment are very thin. Even though elements of two of the perjury charges do appear to us to have some merit, Starr has seriously undermined his own credibility in his construction of the report. Taken as a whole, the document comes across as the salacious accusations of a zealous prosecutor intent on bringing down the president. Thus, it is hard to accept at face value even the elements of the perjury grounds that appear to have some substance.
We are very upset with Clinton. He cheated on his wife and he lied to the country. Both are serious offenses. His reckless behavior has done serious damage to the institution of the presidency. Clinton deserves our strongest condemnation.
Upset as we are with Clinton, we are outraged by Kenneth Starr, the politicians who have supported his inquiry (which continues as you read this), and the House of Representatives. We are particularly incensed by the cost of the investigation which, to date, has cost us over forty million dollars, more even than the investigation of the crash of Flight 800. This money could be put to better use to, among other things, save Social Security, improve urban schools, fight crime, educate teen parents or spearhead environmental cleanup. As taxpayers, we insist that our political leaders not waste enormous sums of our money for any reason, let alone in a never-ending attempt to embarrass the president.
What Clinton did to the country is infuriating. What he did to his family is abominable. However, what Starr is doing to us and to our standing around the world is unconscionable. Now, the House is so anxious to embarrass the president that it is working overtime spending even more of our money to force people the world over to become voyeurs.
Nearly as tragic is the tremendous time that has been wasted on this matter. Our country has many problems that need and deserve the full attention of the president and our representatives in Washington. Do America's hungry find this issue riveting? Do the homeless, the neglected children and the overworked parents? Out here in middle America where we live, people are concerned with the economy, social justice issues, working conditions and crime.
We are so angry that it may be years before we can stomach the idea of voting for any politician who continues to prolong the efforts to humiliate the president at the expense of the country.
And it will be a long, long time before we miss the opportunity to vote on election day.
We have no wish to defend Clinton. There is no question that he deserves to be humiliated. But the time has come to leave that task to Hillary.
We do not think that Clinton's actions, distasteful as they are, warrant impeachment. The continuing efforts to impeach him threaten to alter fundamentally our system of government by weakening the American Presidency and undermining the ability of future presidents, of both parties, to provide leadership abroad and solve problems at home.
Hello? Washington? Are you listening? The impeachment proceedings are not good for a country that has many other pressing issues that concern its citizens. It is time for the president and Congress to get on with the important business of running our country.
We make no particular suggestion as to how Congress should bring this matter to a conclusion. We ask only that it be done promptly and in a way that serves the interests of the country as a whole.
Although many Americans agree with the above sentiments, Congress is not listening to us. If you think that enough is enough, join the National Mad as Hell Campaign by calling or sending a post card, e-mail or letter to our representatives in Washington telling them to 1) stop the impeachment effort; 2) stop Starr's investigation; 3) stop wasting taxpayer money; and 4) get on with the important business of this country.
Most importantly, tell them we're mad as hell and we're not going to take it anymore.
And we vote.

You are promoting hate by the statement you just made, and that's immoral. In one message you demand the Ten Commandments, and then you turn around and promote an anti-Christian crusade. Jesus said, "Love thy neighbor as thyself" but you can't do that and want people to "shun" their neighbors who do not hold the same belief system as yours, whatever that is. You are obviously not a Christian because real Christians would not made such a statement. You can't be American patriot because we believe in freedom of religion. You can't be a Jew because Jews defend fiercely against religious intolerance. What you are promoting is IMMORAL Zippy. In fact what you are proposing is VERY IMMORAL. But I think it is going to get lonely and/or boring when you erase everybody that disagrees with you. What is even more amazing is we have more in common then we differ. I had fun during my short stay at your forum. I thought it would be fun to post on a site that is left-leaning because left-leaning sites are somewhat rare on the Internet. For most of the time the exchange was quite entertaining and fun. It turned weird in the last few days (I guess it is the election or something) - seemed like you lost you ability to understand humor and you read a personal attacked into every joke/humorous statement (not just my messages). Nobody likes to be shunned – but “what can ya do” – I went down defending my political views. I think the actions of this forum reflect a very large societal problem – intolerance. Rather than defend your views (which I asked you to do many times) or strive for common ground, you chose to erase the opposition - which you currently see as me. That is too bad because maybe I could have learned something from you. Who knows – if your arguments where good enough you might have converted me? I guess we will never know... Peace and happiness,

COMMENTARY IT WOULD be a terrible thing if the dead are allowed to rise from their graves today to vote. Don't laugh - just remember the mayoral elections of 1993.
We tracked busloads of people in The Bronx and in Brooklyn and saw people voting two or three times, said Billy Powers, chairman of the New York state Republican Committee.
Me and Mike Long of the Conservative Party were stopping them. "Hey,' I would say as they got off the bus, "I just saw you vote.'
The Democrats, who provided this transportation for double dippers, thought Billy Powers and Mike Long were playing dirty pool - how dare they stop the democratic process of allowing people to vote two or three times.
It got worse.
Post Albany Bureau chief Fred Dicker and photographer Luiz Ribeiro were in Brooklyn on voting day in 1993.
It was a very sad, tragic scene, Dicker told me yesterday. It was also cynical and outrageous.
What they saw makes you sick.
There was a busload of severely mentally retarded people being bused in to vote for ^David_ Dinkins.
They were actually moved into booths and were given a helping hand to pull the lever.
I remember talking to one gentleman and all he could say: "I want my mother.'
I asked him who he was going to vote for. He said, "I voted for Mommy.'
There was another gentleman who just said: "Oh, we are here to go bowling.'
Not a great day for democracy.
Now, last week, a series of so-called minority leaders, led by Charlie Rangel, the oldest shoe in the store, were up in arms.
They protested that the New York state Republican Party was going to dispatch poll-watchers to the voting booths across the state.
Well, they are.
Since when do the Democrats think that they are the only poll-watchers, said a feisty Bill Powers.
Up until 1993, there hadn't been a Republican poll watcher at the booths for 20 years. Many Democratic poll watchers. But Republicans thought those things died, you know voter fraud, died years ago.
Well, not what I saw in 1989 and 1993.
Not what Fred Dicker saw in 1993.
So, today, there will be Republican poll watchers, as there will be Democrat poll watchers, which is right.
I wonder who is unhappiest.
But behind all this, there is an arrogance that I refuse to ignore.
Somehow Charlie Rangel and company think Republican poll watchers will intimidate ethnic voters.
The only intimidation I see comes from people who bribe an illegal - or incompetent - voter with a free lunch.
But there is yet a more horrendous arrogance here.
Since when does the Democratic Party presume that any man or woman would automatically vote on a Democrat ticket?
Not the African-Americans that I know who are voting for Sen. Al D'Amato.
Not the Hispanics that I know who are voting for Al and George Pataki. Some arrogance.
When Bill Powers talks, he talks not as an elitist Republican that Democrats so love to portray.
Powers a former Marine (There are no ex-Marines, just former Marines) was a sweeper for Amtrak and a former janitor before he rebuilt the state Republican Party.
At Iwo Jima, there were 6,000 Marines left on the beach that would never wake, he says. The bullets of the enemy didn't find out what color or religion they were. They were Marines. American Marines. And this is an American election. Equal playing field across the board.
He doesn't drink the perfect white wine the friends of Bill Clinton and Chuck Schumer drink.
He drinks draught beer.
And he will eat people for breakfast today if he sees them committing voting fraud.

Republicans win control of congress three time in a row for the first time in 70 years and the Dow in up - The American people have spoken - WE WANT REPUBLICANS to control it all. Wake up Democrats - you lost - you FAILED to win any of the national categories. Bad News for Democrats - you will not have Clinton or Monica in the year 2000. I hate to interrupt the dancing but the Impeachment hearings start next week (and the Republicans still control the Congress)- justice will be served. Republicans win ALL national categories and remain the national majority party.(it could have been BETTER for the Republicans - they better be more agressive against the PT Barnum (a sucker born every day) Democrats - but they did win EVERY category and a win is a win. Republicans are in the national winners circle and the Democrats are the ski jumper on Wide World of Sports that falls off the ramp)

Message: Who is to blame for the GOP’s net loss of seats in the House?
“The buck stops here,” read the sign on President Harry Truman’s desk. Will Speaker Newt Gingrich, an avid student of history, take Truman’s motto as his own—and will he face the much-rumored uprising from House conservatives, led perhaps by Rep. Steve Largent of Oklahoma?
The conservatives have had their knives out for Gingrich for months. The budget accord to which Gingrich agreed a few weeks ago was further proof that Clinton could out-maneuver him and keep Republicans from getting what Gingrich had long promised: substantial tax cuts.

Message: I am a Republican who voted against my own party, as many Americans obviously did. The message we are sending to the Republican party is to focus on the issues the people want and not your get-the-president-at-all-costs vendetta. Your "at all costs" campaign has blown up in your face, and has become extremely costly from every direction and for all of us used-to-be-proud Republicans. You are coming across as a party that has lost its direction and has only a singular focus, ignoring everything else that is happening in the world and in our country.
The message is clear: get rid of your leaders and more importantly, get rid of the Christian Coalition. They have taken you so far from center that you may not get rid of your extreme right wing image fast enough for the 2000 elections.
People can't tell the difference between Conservatives and the Religious Right anymore. You are too extreme. You will lose both the Senate and the House in 2000 if you don't do something about it fast. Take a strong stand and kick them out. Good Luck

Message: Democrats defied expectations yesterday by holding their ground in the Senate
and picking up seats in the House. This is the first time since 1934 that the party in
control of the White House has gained seats during mid-term elections. Americans have made
it very clear that they want the impeachment matter ended quickly and decisively. Will the
Republicans get the message? My personal opinion is that the Republican Party is so heavily
owned by the religious right that it's hopeless. You cannot dialogue with the radical right.

Message: Hillary's Pubic hair found in Vince Foster's Gun!
EPISODE TWO: Stay tuned for Hillary's secret abortion that Bill does not know about...

Subject: National Mad as Hell Campaign
While we strongly condemn Clinton's behavior, we believe that the
effort to impeach him is hurting the country. The impeachment
process threatens to alter fundamentally our system of government
by weakening the American Presidency and undermining the ability
of future presidents, of both parties, to provide leadership
abroad and solve problems at home. Thus, the goals of the Campaign
are to persuade Congress to:
Please remember, my good Christian friends, not everyone is a Christian and you are badly outnumbered worldwide. The hubris of assuming that the 10 Commandments form the basis of our Constitution...you demean the whole process and all the signers of the Declaration of Independance. Anything for a laugh, right boys?
Republicans took a bruising in Tuesday’s midterm elections in the South, where Democrat Sen. Ernest Hollings of South Carolina fended off a challenge and Republican Sen. Lauch Faircloth of North Carolina was ousted. And in a major defeat in the East, Democratic Rep. Charles Schumer defeated longtime Republican Alfonse D’Amato in New York.
Nov. 3 — Democrats defied expectations and showed strength both in Senate and gubernatorial races across the nation on Tuesday. In addition, NBC projected that Democrats could well pick up four seats in the House and deny Republicans a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate. Democrats also won the biggest prize of the night, the governorship of California.

Historic Day for Democrats
Farewell to Persecutors
Goodbye the Inquisition
Happy days are here again!
