If there arises enough meaningful discussion about things like the FBI files, politicization of the Justice Deptartment, or the Lippo/PLA/COSCO transactions, your Americans will get a clue that those issues were effectively ignored and suppressed, and even if you can endure the PJ/Monica debacle, you will have to leave. If you do have to give up power, it is best to keep it until the revelations actually start to be a danger, then to escape with your pardons just when the right wingers believe that truth is near. That will leave them tantalized, frustrated, and, above all, confused. Of course, it's tragic that it may have to end this way. You two will always occupy the first rank in political greatness, whether or not the world knows it. Message: I just watched (01/27/98) Hillary in her NBC Today Show interview. What a positive role model for all people!! As usual, she was intelligent, composed, articulate and ever so REAL. I agree that all of the brouhaha smacks of political maneuvering. Most importantly, I voted for Clinton to do a job; for the most part, he has performed as I had hoped. He also has made political decisions with which I did not agree. But let's get to the heart of the allegations regarding sex with a White House intern. I do not care what he did or not do with a consenting adult. If he did ask the intern to lie under oath, then he must be held accountable. However, that remains to be seen. Regardless, Hillary stands up well against those who fear her for her honesty, strength of character and loving spirit.
